Our livingroom can now be seen in space...
A story of One Man's Junk is Another Man's Treasure. Christmas has come in the form of a free big screen tv this year. Our young 20-something neighbor was having problems with the tv- as soon as he'd turn it on it would start running through the on-screen menus repeatedly, never stopping. He tried everything he could think of to try to fix it. He and his wife finally decided it was a good excuse to go buy a new tv, so they gave the big screen to us and said "Here, take it, YOU can pull your hair out trying to fix it." So after getting it moved over into our livingroom and turning it on it started the usual menu scrolling... Hubby realized it was on "Demo Mode", hit 3 buttons, and NO MORE MENU, hahaha. Luckily our neighbors are happy with their new tv so they're still just letting us have the big screen. It's like 10 years old, but still has a great picture and looks good. Plus it's half the size of the wall... literally. In fact, since our front livingroom wall is almost all windows, I told our neighbor he can sit out in his driveway and watch our tv in case his wife is watching something else on their tv, haha. Heck, get a Bluetooth headset and he could have sound too. He replied that we just needed to let him know when the dirty movies will be on, haha. Okay, time to get shades for those front windows...
