Spousal Art Review...

Hubby said I could post his painting, so here it is:

This was his first painting ever. Okay, I mean besides painting cars and horse trailers. First fine art painting, I should say. He did good with his fabric and the cross, fabric is something people struggle with when learning to paint. I think he did pretty well with the whole thing considering it's something he hadn't tried before. Give most people a paint brush and they aren't going to just whip together a piece of representational art. As our art professor said, a good judge is whether other students would be able to recognize the objects if you took the painting over to the math building. So that was the first step was making recognizable objects. He's on the right track!

very nice, my compliments to the 'chef', I mean artist. I see he borrowed a miniature version of your ram's horn and on the fabric stayed well within the lines as young folks are taught to paint. Looking forward to more later on. J.D.

I'm impressed, both with the quality of the work and his willingness to put it out there. Bravo!

I think my first attempt at something like this would look more like a pile of laundry. He's a natural!

He says that's what his first drawings looked like Anna!

He also wanted me to mention the photo is blurry, the painting "has more definition than that!" Man, these artists are touchy about their work ain't they? hahaha

No really, it is another crappy cellphone photo, I just couldn't sharpen the image any more than that to make it look better.

Thanks Anna
