By the way, on Friday my boss was fired. (He was a nice enough guy, so I kinda feel sorry for him.) He was the training manager for our facilities, and myself and another guy (Maurice) are the trainers under him. I have no idea what this means for me & Maurice. I was sitting there Friday minding my own business when suddenly I was called up to the general manager's office... he informed me of my manager's departure and was then given a 5 minute bullshit speech about how "valuable I am to the company" and "we are planning on moving forward with our training program" and that I'd be reporting directly to him for the time being. When I asked if a new training manager was going to be hired, he gave me more bullshit about being in the planning stages, yada yada yada, without giving me a real answer. I HATE THAT. Buddy, I've been around sales for 15 years and know when a person is deliberately feeding me propaganda without any hard facts. Don't try to dazzle me. As Jack said, I didn't fall off the turnip truck last night. But alas, I'm a mere corporate mushroom.

Anyway... from what I heard through the grapevine we might have several(?) new managers tomorrow at our facilities. So, what does this mean for Maurice & I? I have no idea.

The only thing constant is change.
